so... after calibrating for a zillion times and changing color profiles for a billion times i have no idea what to do next. calibrating screens and adjusting photoshop is as funny as cancer.

so, for all those who think they have a calibrated screen: does this look fine? if not... ;wackel

dedication to calibration by *zort is a prime example of the more journalistic approach to wedding photography that's gaining popularity finally, say goodbye to Heather Locklear feathered hair and soft focus and say hello to capturing the true celebration of the day. (Featured by `Ghouldaddy)

Looks mighty fine!

now, that i look at it again, i think it's too red. but that could also because firefox doesn't seem to support color profiles. funny stuff. i have no clue what this all does mean. it's very professional stuff.

schaus mir auch mit firefox an und hatte auch den selben gedanken (etwas zu rot) beim ersten blick. hast den kontrast auch erhöht im vergleich zu dem was du anfangs ghabt hast?

she seems to be thinking "good luck with that calibration thing, gegege :XD:"

a bit red in the shadows from this screen, but this is my dad's, far from calibrated. it still looks passable though. I'm pretty sure that if the image is color corrected well enough, it holds through the different monitors. but then again, that's proved wrong for me too many times. ah, good luck with it, if you find out any great way of going about this, let me know. i'll do the same.

my cinema display is pantone huey calibrated [for print work] tones looked better the first time you showed me, tonal range and whites look perfect, but skin contrast is a bit high and reddish [orange] but [very slightly] looks great though, still leaps ahead of most crap that makes it on here, and no matter how much you calibrate your screen...

it doesnt mean crap.

even the best calibrated screen doesnt make a difference if its not calibrated to the printer you choose, and every printer is slightly different, so as we were tought our first day, test runs for print work [or maybe proofs for photos] are essential before you even begin to worry about screen calibration
